Our association has been established by the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs as of May 2012 according to enactment of the Overseas Agriculture Development & Cooperation Act in 2012, in order to develop an overseas agro-development business and to increase benefits and cooperation of our partners.
Currently, we are facing volatility in the global grain market due to an increased population and abnormal climate conditions including drought and flood. Korea is very vulnerable to fluctuation of the global grain price as we import 90% or more of major grains including wheat, soybean, and corn.
Relevant parties including business entities, government bodies, associations, and the Korea Rural Community Corporation are encouraging an overseas agro-development business in order to minimize market risk, provide stable distribution of major grains, and advance into the global market.
In order to achieve our goals, our association will strive to provide the latest information pertaining to overseas agro-development, establish cooperative networks between partners and relevant authorities, nurture professionals, investigate the environment for investments, support funds, suggest appropriate policies, protect our partner’s rights, and resolve numerous obstacles that may be encountered at the local site.
We hope for your continued support and interest.
Thank you.
